Division of responsibilities of the CNB Bank Board

At its first extraordinary meeting in the new line-up, the Bank Board of the Czech National Bank (CNB) approved the following division of responsibilities of its members for overseeing the CNB’s departments.

Division of responsibilities among CNB Bank Board members with effect from 2 December 2024:

  • Financial Markets and Resolution Department

Deputy Governor Jan Frait

  • Financial Market Supervision Department
  • Internal Audit Department

Bank Board member Karina Kubelková

  • Information Systems Department
  • Cash and Payments Department

  • Budget and Accounting Department
  • Risk Management and Transactions Support Department

Bank Board member Jakub Seidler

The seven-member Bank Board manages the CNB’s organisational units as a collective body. In 2023, it decided to reduce the number of organisational units from 17 to 14. As part of their responsibilities, the executive directors of departments report to the Bank Board about the management of the areas of competence delegated to them.
