Responsible for

  • providing organisational and administrative support for CNB Bank Board meetings
  • coordinating the CNB’s relations with constitutional institutions and their bodies, in particular the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic, the Parliament of the Czech Republic and the Office of the President of the Republic
  • coordinating legislative activities at the CNB and cooperation with the Ministry of Finance on legislation concerning the CNB, and preparing and commenting on legislative proposals
  • coordinating the implementation of EU law at the CNB and working with the ECB and other ESCB central banks in the legislative and legal area
  • running the CNB’s Appeals Committee and preparing the CNB Bank Board’s decisions on legal remedies in administrative proceedings
  • representing the CNB with respect to law enforcement authorities, in legal proceedings and with respect to the Office for the Protection of Competition, coordinating the selection of external legal advisers for the CNB and exempting CNB employees and former CNB employees from the obligation to maintain confidentiality
  • defining the principles for the CNB’s external and internal communication and for the coordination and control of that communication
  • preparing and publishing transparent information on the CNB’s activities via the CNB website and the media
  • coordinating presentations and speeches by Bank Board members and other CNB experts
  • preparing the CNB’s publication plans, issuing publications (including the CNB’s Annual Report) and translating CNB documents and publications
  • receiving and registering submissions made by the public and dealing with them in cooperation with the relevant organisational units of the CNB
  • ensuring compliance with duties pursuant to Act No. 159/2006 Coll., on Conflicts of Interest
  • elaborating the methodology for setting rules of conduct and principles of professional ethics (the Code of Ethics of the CNB) of CNB employees
  • CNB protocol
  • carrying on methodological management in the area of handling of personal data
  • implementing whistleblower protection procedures, operating the internal reporting system and acting as report recipient
