Coin description
The obverse side of the coin features a composition of fragments from realised designs by Jože Plečnik, namely the façade of the Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord on Jiřího z Poděbrad Square in Prague, and, in the upper part of the coin, the capital of a column located in the Moravian Bastion in the Garden on the Ramparts at Prague Castle. At the left-hand edge of the coin is the text “ČESKÁ”, and at the right-hand edge is the text “REPUBLIKA”. The denomination and abbreviated monetary unit “200 Kč” are located near the lower edge of the coin. The mark of the Czech Mint, in the form of the letters “Č” and “M”, is located before the denomination. The reverse side of the coin features a portrait of Jože Plečnik. At the upper edge of the coin is the text “JOŽE”, and at the right-hand edge is the text “PLEČNIK”. Located near the lower edge of the coin is the text “1872”, and at the left-hand edge is the text “2022”. The initial of the designer Vojtěch Dostál – a reversed letter “D” – is situated at the left-hand lower edge of the coin.
