Research Open Day 2022

On 23 May 2022, the Czech National Bank held its annual Research Open Day. A selection of the best CNB economic research papers for last year was presented at the conference. CNB researchers, in discussion with selected renowned external economists, presented their papers in two blocks, one dedicated to the area of financial stability and the other to the area of monetary policy.

The keynote speakers at this year’s conference were ECB advisor Luca Dedola, Professor Paul De Grauwe of the London School of Economics and Political Science, who is a leading expert on the euro, and Yuemei Ji of University College London.

Luca Dedola was the first to give his keynote speech Insights from the Prisma Network on Price Setting and Inflation Dynamics in the Euro Area, followed in the afternoon by Paul De Grauwe and Yuemei Ji with Trust and Monetary Policy.

Other external guests were leading expert on meta-analysis, Tomáš Havránek, Professor of Economics at Charles University, Lev Ratnovski, economist at the International Monetary Fund focusing on the euro area, and Christian Matthes, Associate Professor at Indiana University Bloomington.
