Independent CNB Human Resources Department and new division of responsibilities of Bank Board members
The Human Resources Division, which up to now has been part of the CNB’s General Secretariat, will become an independent Human Resources Department on 1 September 2020. In this context, the organisational units supervised by the individual Bank Board members will be partly re-allocated as of the same date.
Governor Jiří Rusnok will continue to supervise the General Secretariat and the Internal Audit Department, which will be complemented by the Administration Department from September.
In addition to the Financial Regulation and International Cooperation Department, Deputy Governor Marek Mora will newly supervise the Monetary Department and the new Human Resources Department.
The portfolio of Bank Board Member Vojtěch Benda will newly include the Budget and Accounting Department and the Resolution Department. The Cash Department will be supervised by Bank Board Member Oldřich Dědek, complementing the Risk Management and Transactions Support Department in his portfolio.
The portfolios of Deputy Governor Tomáš Nidetzký and Bank Board Members Tomáš Holub and Aleš Michl are unchanged. Tomáš Nidetzký will continue to supervise the Financial Market Supervision Department, the Financial Market Supervision Department II and the Financial Stability Department. Tomáš Holub will remain responsible for the Licensing and Enforcement Department and the Financial Markets Department, while Aleš Michl will continue to supervise the Statistics and Data Support Department and the Information Systems Department in the period ahead.
The Bank Board appointed Tomáš Trtek as Executive Director of the new Human Resources Department. Mr Trtek has been Director of the Human Resources Division of the General Secretariat since 2018 and until now has also been Deputy Executive Director of the General Secretariat. The Bank Board therefore appointed current Director of the Legal Services Division of the General Secretariat Jan Spiryt as Deputy Executive Director of the General Secretariat, also with effect from 1 September. Mr Spiryt also remains in charge of the Legal Services Division.
Tomáš Trtek graduated from the Faculty of Management and Economics at Tomáš Baťa University in Zlín. He has worked at the CNB since 2009. Before becoming the head of the Human Resources Division of the General Secretariat, he served between 2013 and 2018 as Deputy Executive Director of the Prague branch, where he was responsible for managing money reserves.
Jan Spiryt has been employed at the CNB since 2002. In 2019 he was appointed Director of the Legal Services Division of the General Secretariat. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague. He joined the General Secretariat after working in the Financial Markets Department, where from 2006 onwards he headed the Special Receivables and Liabilities Unit.
