Management changes in General Secretariat divisions
The General Secretariat will see changes in the management of three divisions. Managers will be reassigned in the Legal Services Division, the Organisational and Protocol Division and the Communications Division. The Bank Board made this decision at its meeting on 4 January, with effect from 15 January 2024.
Director of the Organisational and Protocol Division Luboš Jemelka will head up the Legal Services Division. He will replace Jan Spiryt, who resigned as of the end of 2023. At the same time, Luboš Jemelka will become Deputy Executive Director of the General Secretariat. Petra Krmelová, who has been at the helm of the Communications Division since October 2022, will become Director of the renamed External Relations, Organisation and Protocol Division in mid-January. The Bank Board appointed Jakub Holas, current adviser to Deputy Governor Eva Zamrazilová, to replace her.
Luboš Jemelka has worked at the CNB since 2007. After earning his master’s degrees at the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Social Sciences, completing his postgraduate studies and undertaking a study programme in Germany, he worked in the Legislative Department of the Ministry of the Interior in 2004–2007. After joining the CNB, he worked in the Legal Services Division of the General Secretariat. Subsequently, he became Secretary to the Bank Board. Since 2018, he has also been the Director of the Organisational and Protocol Division. In addition, he lectures on administrative law at CEVRO Institute and contributes to academic publications.
Jakub Holas graduated from the Faculty of Humanities at Charles University in Prague. He has extensive experience in public relations and public affairs. He started his career in PR agencies, where he worked as an account manager, primarily in the financial market area. In 2018–2022, he headed the Office of the Czech Fiscal Council, which he founded alongside Eva Zamrazilová. He has worked as an adviser to the CNB Bank Board since 2022.
Petra Krmelová graduated from the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Arts at Palacký University in Olomouc. After her studies, she worked as editor-in-chief of the Prima TV’s regional office in Zlín. She worked for Impuls Radio in Italy for a year. In 2004 she joined Czech Television as economic editor and presenter of the CT24 Economics, CT24 Studio and Studio 6 programmes. In 2018, she was involved in the launch of Seznam Television. She worked as editor, presenter and editor-in-chief of the Business column at Seznam News. She co-organised, produced and presented many events focused on economic topics and provided media training to Czech business figures. She has worked at the CNB since 2022.
