Revokation of the banking licence of Moravia banka

Within the administrative proceedings which were initiated on 2 September 1999, the Czech National Bank has decided to revoke the banking licence of Moravia banka, a.s., due to the long-term serious shortcomings in the bank´s activities.

During the administrative proceedings Moravia banka failed to submit any concrete documents furnishing proof that the detected shortcomings had been remedied and the reasons for initiating the administrative proceedings had ceased.

Moravia banka, a.s., may file an appeal against this decision within the legal term of 15 days, and therefore, the decision has not yet come into force.
