Štěpánka Filipová becomes new CNB spokesperson
Štěpánka Filipová has become new spokesperson and Deputy Director of the Communications Division of the Czech National Bank (CNB). She will be joining the team led by Jakub Holas, who was appointed as Director of the Communications Division by the CNB Bank Board in January.
Štěpánka Filipová holds a degree in journalism from the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University in Prague and a degree in marketing and social communications from Tomáš Baťa University in Zlín. She joins the CNB from CzechTourism. Prior to that, she worked as Director of Communications and Marketing at the Ministry of Industry and Trade. She also managed communications and marketing at CzechInvest, the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the Czech Social Security Administration. In addition, she was spokesperson for Karlovarské minerální vody (Mattoni) and was in charge of communications for international companies and the Union of Towns and Municipalities of the Czech Republic. She worked as a journalist for many years, contributing to various media outlets, including the weekly Profit and Czech Television.
Jakub Holas graduated from the Faculty of Humanities at Charles University in Prague. He has extensive experience in public relations and public affairs. He started his career in PR agencies, where he worked as an account manager, primarily in the financial market area. In 2018–2022, he headed the Office of the Czech Fiscal Council, which he founded alongside Eva Zamrazilová. He worked as an adviser to the CNB Bank Board from 2022 until his appointment.
