Calculation methodology for the CZEONIA reference rate
The CZEONIA (CZEch OverNight Index Average) rate is a weighted average of interest rates on all unsecured O/N deposits placed by banks and foreign bank branches on the interbank market (including deposits placed in the CNB’s deposit facility), rounded to two decimal places.
With effect from 1 July 2020, the CZEONIA reference rate is calculated from statistical data submitted by banks and foreign bank branches to the Czech National Bank on a daily basis pursuant to Decree No. 346/2013 Coll. in the CZEONIA01 statement.
The CZEONIA reference rate and the volume of traded deposits on day D are published on the immediately following working day, D+1, usually by 9.30 a.m. local time.
